My name is Rebecca “Beck” Touchin from the Eagle/Parrot Clans from the Pueblo of Laguna, NM. I’m a Field Organizer for the Gabe Vasquez campaign here in NM-02, and I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and share why I’m working to elect Gabe this November.

I joined #TeamVasquez because not only is Gabe the better candidate in this crucial House race, but he will fight to protect our land and water which is important to the indigenous peoples of New Mexico.

I organize in the communities of Cibola, Socorro, Catron, Valencia, Isleta, Laguna, Acoma, Zuni Pueblos, Alamo, Ramah and Tojahiilee Navajo Nations.

The best part of this work has been engaging in rural New Mexico, educating the underserved, and engaging the potential in these small communities. I know Gabe will be a true representative of the people, no matter their background or what part of NM-02 they live in.
