We’re sick of the status quo. We’re frustrated by the continued lack of diversity in identities, experiences and worldviews given a platform in the corporate news media. We’re tired of being told the way things are is the way they always have to be—that a handful of elites can keep growing wealthier and more powerful, greedier and more extractive, while the majority of us have to suffer the consequences.
Even though we’re sick and tired of the status quo, we aren’t getting discouraged. For 36 years we’ve been setting the record straight, righting the wrongs of the corporate press, and platforming voices that are too often sidelined. And we have no intention of stopping.
We’ve set a goal to raise $15,000 in the first two weeks of September. We need these funds to help us keep the lights on, the rent paid, our writers compensated, and our website running smoothly.
