Dear John,

Have you heard? The Biden Administration just proposed a new rule that would make it clear that anti-LGBTQI+ discrimination and bullying is unacceptable and must be addressed as quickly as possible. Students across the country are returning to school and that there has been a recent wave of political attacks on LGBTQI+ youth, this rule is incredibly important in protecting trans and LGBTQI+ students.

We want to invite you to our upcoming Facebook Live event in partnership with GLSEN this Thursday, September 8th at 8pm to learn more about this rule and how YOU can help ensure that our trans and LGBTQI+ youth have a learning experience that is free of hateful discrimination and bullying. To tune in, go to our Facebook page at 8pm EST on 9/8!

In the meantime, here's how you can help protect trans and LGBTQI+ students:

  • Learn more about the rule here.
  • Take 5 minutes RIGHT NOW to leave a comment on why schools should be free from anti-LGBTQI+ discrimination and bullying. Tips are provided in the comment portal.
  • While you're at it, make sure to also leave a comment to Protect Trans Health and help ensure that young people can access safe and affirming healthcare!
  • Invite others to submit a comment and to tune in on Facebook

No one should ever face discrimination – and that’s especially true whether young people are in the classroom, on the sports field, or in the doctor's office.

Yours in solidarity,
