Friend, every year you’re told this is the most important election of your lifetime. Well, the 2022 election is actually the most important election — for climate action in California. The reason why is simple: With the biggest field of open, competitive seats in 12 years, we have a real chance at winning a true majority of climate leaders in the California Legislature who will consistently introduce and support meaningful climate solutions. We are on a Path to 62 in the Legislature to gain that climate majority: 21 votes in the State Senate and 41 votes in the Assembly. If we win all of our open Senate races where we’ve made an endorsement, we’ll be at 20 climate champions! Then we’d only need to get one more vote to pass some serious, consequential legislation. Here’s what all that means, friend: It means you have an even bigger impact. It means your vote matters more. It means your volunteer time means more. And, yes, it means your financial support means more too. Can you chip in a few dollars to boost our efforts to elect a climate majority in this most important election of California’s lifetime? (Most people give $35, but any amount is appreciated!) |
