I know -- it wasn’t that long ago I was asking for contributions toward our August goal, but I’m coming back to you now with another request.
Let me explain why.
I’m proud of everything I’ve helped get done for Maryland and our country in recent weeks:
- The biggest climate bill in U.S. history, which will reduce emissions by 40% in just eight years and lower prescription drug costs, capping insulin at $35 a month for people on Medicare
- Major investments in semiconductor manufacturing that will shorten supply chains for high-demand tech needed for cars and cell phones and create thousands of good-paying jobs making it here in the U.S.
- The first gun-safety bill in decades, which includes measures to keep guns from domestic abusers and strengthen school safety and mental health resources
There’s more I want to do, but there’s a problem: The GOP wants Democrats like me gone.
