There's a lesson that my parents taught me very early on.

My Mom, a Democrat, and my Dad, a "Milliken" Republican, didn't see eye to eye on a range of issues. But they did agree on imparting this lesson: everyone is important and everyone deserves to be listened to.

That's why I made sure to visit every single one of Michigan's 83 counties during my 2018 campaign. Regardless of party affiliation, income, race, gender, sexuality, ability status, or religion, everyone deserves the chance to be listened to.

My team visited every single county and we did that with an average online donation of just $18. I'm asking if you will match our average online donation of $18 on the 18th so we can continue building our movement: for the people, by the people.

Every single donation of $18 has a set of values attributed to it.

That's $18 to finally fill the ever-expanding number of potholes, repair our crumbling bridges, and fix our damn roads.

That's $18 to ensure every parent can turn on their tap and give their children a glass of clean drinking water at the dinner table.

That's $18 to invest in our children's future by fixing the leaking ceilings in their schools and providing our hard working teachers with the support and resources they need to do their job.

One $18 donation at a time, we're putting Michigan on the #RoadToOpportunity. One $18 donation at a time, we're creating a brighter future for the state we love.

I'm going to continue touring the state and speaking with families about our budget: I'm asking if you'll donate $18 on the 18th if you're with me.

I appreciate your help. Know that you are important.

Thank you,

Gretchen
