At the urgent request of the Nye County Sheriff’s Office, we are assisting with the care of nearly 300 dogs, including dozens of pregnant dogs and puppies, who were rescued from alleged cruelty in Pahrump, Nevada. These dogs, primarily Caucasian Shepherds, were found living in extremely poor conditions.
When investigators arrived, they discovered some of the animals appeared emaciated and suffering from severe, untreated medical issues. It was clear immediate intervention was necessary to get these animals to safety so they could receive care and treatment they desperately need. We quickly mobilized a team of experts to support this large-scale operation. |
Right now, we are providing daily care, medical and behavioral support for these dogs at the emergency shelter, and are also working to assist local authorities with evidence collection and crime scene processing, forensics exams, and legal assistance.
Animal cruelty charges have been filed based on evidence collected by the Nye County Sheriff’s Office with additional assistance provided by our experts to further support the investigation and prosecution while we help care for the rescued dogs.
These animals are safe thanks to support from compassionate people like you, but their journeys have only just begun. Please make an urgent and lifesaving gift today to help animal victims nationwide. |
