DIVE IN: SEE WHAT’S INSIDE THE KIT

1. OCEAN ROBOT TEST TANK

Prepare your mini ocean robot for a research mission, using a waterproof household container to act as your test tank! Follow the mission cards to learn how ocean robots work through the concepts of density and buoyancy.

This activity will also cover topics like climate change and its impact on ocean systems!

2. OCEAN EXPEDITION

Play an immersive board game (with optional trivia cards) that will help you explore the mysteries of the ocean. Watch as augmented reality features bring the

game to life!

You’ll learn about typical experiences that ocean robots encounter, identify how you’re connected to the sea no matter where you live, and find out how much more we still have to discover about our ocean.

3. OCEAN COMMUNICATOR

Create your very own ocean-related billboard or advertisement! Topics you can explore include the relationship between ocean challenges and climate change, impact on human and animal life, and how science is being used to address these issues.

Take what you’ve learned from the 4-H STEM Challenge and share with others in your community the ways we can help protect the ocean.
