Chamber Joins Northern Virginia Business Transportation Coalition to Support TransAction 


The Arlington Chamber joined a coalition of businesses and organizations from across Northern Virginia in supporting the Northern Virginia TransAction long-range Transportation Plan. The TransAction plan includes 429 regional multimodal transportation projects for the next 25 years. These projects will help the region accommodate the substantial economic and population growth projected for the next 25 years.

Arlington County Board Candidate Forum

Wednesday, September 14 | 5:30-7:00 p.m. | Synetic Theater in Crystal City


Current County Board Member Matt de Ferranti (D) is running for re-election and will face Adam Theo (I) and Audrey Clement (I) in the general election on November 8. 



This business-themed candidate forum features a moderated discussion of topics important to the Arlington business community with the candidates running for the Arlington County Board. The event will provide candidates the opportunity to engage with local business leaders and to address the key issues affecting the business community.

Chamber's Community Action Committee Hosts Nonprofit Forum


Last week, the Chamber's Community Action Committee hosted their Nonprofit Forum: Incorporating Belonging in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Efforts at Mastercard's Arlington office. This event included a panel discussion with Veritas Culture President, Co-owner and Chief Technology Officer, Vince Brantley,  PathForward CEO, Betsy Frantz, and OAR of Arlington Alexandria and Falls Church Executive Director, Elizabeth Jones Valderrama. Arlington County Deputy County Manager, Chief Race and Equity Officer, Samia Byrd moderated the event. 


The hour long panel focused on the challenges and successes that each panelist has seen and the solutions that they found to be successful. Through this panel discussion, attendees were able to learn how to incorporate strategies to strengthen diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) in their workplaces.

The Chamber has 10 difference committees each with a different goal that supports the Chamber's mission. Committees are a great way to broaden your network of contacts while learning about issues that impact your business and your community. Deepen your involvement by participating in the committee that best suits your goals and interests.


Time commitments vary by committee and the extent of your involvement. Most meet once a month. Participation is free and available to all employees of member businesses and organizations.
