Dear friend,
A brain-damaging pesticide may be contaminating produce at your grocery store, including some of kids’ favorites, like apples, peaches and grapes!
Chlorpyrifos can cause serious brain damage in kids, even at incredibly low doses. The E.U., California and New York have all announced plans to protect kids’ health and BAN this neurotoxic pesticide.
But Trump’s EPA has caved to the pesticide industry and continues to allow toxic chlorpyrifos on our food!
This is unacceptable! We shouldn’t have to worry about brain-damaging pesticides on our food. That’s why EWG is calling on major retailers like Safeway, Kroger and Publix to BAN chlorpyrifos! Will you help us reach 100,000 petition signatures by 2020?
Tell Kroger, Safeway and Publix to BAN brain-damaging chlorpyrifos! This neurotoxic pesticide doesn’t belong on our food.

According to the EPA’s own assessments, multiple independent studies found that the levels of chlorpyrifos on food and in drinking water are unsafe! But the Trump EPA still decided to scrap a planned ban of chlorpyrifos, just weeks after the disgraced former EPA administrator, Scott Pruitt, met with the CEO of Dow Chemical, the chief manufacturer of chlorpyrifos.
The Trump EPA has consistently put pesticide industry profits before public health. But EWG will never stop fighting for you. We know that consumers can drive market change, because we’ve done it before. But we need a tidal wave of support if we’re going to make our voices heard.
Help EWG reach 100,000 signatures calling on major grocery chains to BAN brain-damaging chlorpyrifos by 2020! Click here to add your name to our petition today!
