Five ESF calls are currently open in the D2N2 area:


* Access to Employment - deadline 30th December 2019
* D2N2 Active Inclusion Programme - multiple and complex needs - deadline 8th January 2020

* D2N2 Leadership and Management Training for SMEs - deadline 2nd February 2020

Funds available to support rural businesses

EAFRD [ [link removed] ]

Rural businesses can benefit from a further guaranteed 35 million worth of funding to create new jobs, boost tourism, and unlock growth in rural areas.

TheEuropean Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) [ [link removed] ]supports rural businesses to grow and increase their competitiveness and sustainability.

The new call provides grants of up to 750,000 for rural start-ups and businesses to purchase state-of-art equipment and machinery to grow their business or open up opportunities for tourism.

For this funding round of the Growth Programme, the threshold for minimum grants has come down from 35,000 to 20,000, meaning an increase in the number of small or micro-businesses eligible for a grant funding.

Horizon 2020 Energy Calls for next year

UK organisations will remain eligible to participate in and coordinate consortia, including for the Horizon 2020 calls, even if the UK leaves the EU without a deal. CALL: Study on the Health and Well-being of Music Creators

Music Moves Europe [ [link removed] ]

This call for tender aims at undertaking a study on the specific health risks and concerns that affect musicians and creators of music.

The general objective of this call is to deliver an expert study that provides a general overview of the occupational health risks musicians and music creators face, and an EU-wide mapping of existing initiatives contributing towards the prevention and treatment of adverse health issues related to performance and musical creation.

Research on Future and Emerging Technologies (FET)

Future and Emerging Technologies [ [link removed] ]

FET [ [link removed] ] aims to create the seeds for future industrial leadership and for tackling society's grand challenges in new ways through funding responsible and dynamic multi-disciplinary research collaborations on future technologies.

The main participants in FET are academic researchers and hi-tech SMEs.

Collaborative projects to explore and consolidate a new technological direction in order to put it firmly on the map as a viable paradigm for future technology. Deadline 23rd June 2020.

Reduce your energy bills: N2 Energy Grants

SME businesses are taking steps to improve their energy efficiency with an N2 Energy Grant; over*25 businesses*across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have been helped so far, with an average saving per business of between *50 *and *80%*.

Grants can provide financial support to invest in measures that lead to cost and carbon savings. Businesses have already used these grants to implement projects such as lighting and heating upgrades, insulation and purchasing new machinery.

Eligible businesses can receive up to 16,000 to fund 40% of the cost of installing energy efficiency measures.

The N2EG Programme is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund and is delivered by Nottingham City Council. The programme is open to businesses with fewer than 250 employees located in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
