Hi JOHN,
Today is an opportunity to reflect on all the worker protections we have thanks to the labor movement. We are also reminded of the things that are left to make sure every Rhode Islander has opportunity.
There’s a lot at stake right now. We’ve got to help our people who are struggling to make ends meet. This means working together to create an economy that is fair and just for everyone. In Congress, I will fight for legislation that creates a level playing field. My priorities include:
Raising the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 an hour. It is high time we have fair wages across our country.
Supporting our caregivers by creating a permanent and comprehensive federal paid leave program so they can balance their work and family responsibilities.
Investing in workforce development initiatives and paid apprenticeship programs to help people land good paying jobs.
I am in this race to be an advocate for every Rhode Islander who wants to live, work, and raise their family here. Please consider a donation in these final days before the September 13 primary to keep this momentum going in Congress!
Thank you for your support,
Joy
