Happy Labor Day, John!

My mom was a public school teacher and MEA member. Among so many other things, she taught me the importance of hard work and how unions helped build the Michigan economy and establish the rights of our working families.

In these tough times, workers need the power of organizing more than ever. That’s why standing with our local labor unions will always be a top priority for me. I've fought for workers and working families throughout my career, and I will continue that advocacy in Congress.

I also want to take this moment to thank you for your tremendous support of our campaign. Labor Day is a real turning point in an election year, and I am so grateful to have this strong team by my side heading into the most crucial time of the campaign.
