I hope you are enjoying this holiday weekend, but let’s remember why we celebrate this day.

The people of the Labor movement fought hard to ensure workers’ rights and fair treatment. From weekends, overtime pay, and the 40 hour work week to pensions, retirement plans, sick leave, and safety regulations — the list of their achievements goes on and on.

On this Labor Day, let’s be sure to honor those who fought these battles, and continue to do so even in the most difficult of circumstances. Thank you for everything you have done for workers everywhere.
