Dear John,

On Labor Day, we commemorate the historic and hard-earned victories of organized labor for better wages, benefits, and working conditions for every American worker. Today is the day that we give thanks for the unions and working families who built America’s middle class and are the backbone of our economy.

That’s why our campaign has amassed such a broad based and powerful coalition of labor unions endorsing our campaign — over a dozen strong — including the International Association of Firefighters, S.M.A.R.T. Sheet Metal Workers International Association, United Farm Workers, the California Labor Federation, the California Teachers Association, SEIU California, NorCal Carpenters, Teamsters Joint Council 7, UFCW Local 5, IUOE Local 3, IAM Local 1781, AFSCME Local 829, and UA Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 467.

John, I am extremely proud to have earned a 99% lifetime rating from the California Labor Federation while serving in the Legislature. Union members and working families know that I will never waver and will always have their back.

In Congress, I look forward to expanding the fight to bring good-paying union jobs back home and standing strong against every attempt to strip away union rights.

On behalf of Team Mullin, wishing you a reflective and meaningful Labor Day,

Kevin Mullin
