This Labor Day, we want to celebrate and honor our hardworking union members here in Arizona.
Thanks to unions, we enjoy things like a 40-hour work week, paid time off, weekends, and workplace safety standards. The things unions fight for in their contracts help set the labor market for everyone else. Their contributions here in Arizona and nationwide have been invaluable!
That’s why we support workers organizing here in Arizona and our current union members. Their collective sacrifice helps us all.
Unions also know that we all do better when we all do better. We’ve taken that same philosophy when it comes to policy. We promoted paid family leave, higher wages, more safety protocols in workplaces, and other initiatives that help workers.
Republicans have blocked all of that in favor of crazy conspiracy theories about voting.
So this Labor Day, thank a union worker for helping us all out, and remember which party is working for you – not special interests.
