It’s been a big year for the labor movement, John. Workers at Amazon, Starbucks, Chipotle, and more of America’s biggest companies have taken on powerful anti-union executives and consultants — and workers are winning.
So many workers now have someone to fight for them at work, to make sure that they get the pay and the treatment that they deserve. And people are noticing. A recent Gallup poll showed that 71% of Americans now approve of labor unions, the highest number since 1965. But still, only 10.3% of workers belong to one.
As you look at the news and everything that workers have won, you might find yourself wondering, “Do I need a union?” If so, we’ve got the quiz for you.

Unions can transform a company for the better, raising wages, improving benefits, and ensuring that everyone is treated fairly and with respect. We’re so proud to support the workers who are fighting to organize their workplace, to put people over profits and create a better environment for everyone.
If you’re already in a union, thank you for being a part of this movement! This is your invitation to take the next step and reach out to your stewards. They’re ready to talk with you to make sure you know what benefits and rights you’re entitled to, and to make sure that your needs are being met at work. We’re stronger together, and your perspective is so valuable.
Whether you’re retired, unemployed, a union member, or wondering what a union would mean for you, your support for this work is crucial. By voicing your appreciation for unions, you encourage others to fight for their rights in the workplace and make it harder for exploitative managers to take advantage of their employees.
And if you’re one of those employees being taken advantage of right now, if you find yourself frustrated with what’s being asked of you, if you’re working too much for not enough — take our "Do I Need a Union?" quiz now.
