John, happy Labor Day!

As we are enjoying today with friends and family, I want to take a moment to honor the hard working folks who have advocated for workers’ rights. We’ve come a long way, but our work is not yet done.

Labor Day reminds us that union workers gave us 40 hour work weeks, safer working conditions, and minimum wage laws. It also reminds us that supporting our workers and our unions — both in our words and in our legislation — is how we all move forward.

Floridians deserve more than the bare minimum — we deserve liveable wages, paid family leave, and protection against discrimination. Floridians deserve leadership that works for working families, not against them.

I am committed to this fight, and I am proud to represent working families in Florida. I can’t wait to continue the fight in Florida’s 62nd House District.
