   John, we want to
take a moment on Labor Day to make one thing very clear:
Greg Abbott has failed Texas workers at every turn.
→ Texas’ $7.25 minimum wage hasn’t budged a single penny in over 13 years.
While Abbott has fought minimum wage increases every year that he has been
governor, nine Republican-led states have raised their minimum wages since
   he took office.
→ As Abbott fails to act on expanding affordable child care, the average
working family in Texas is paying $10,300 for it, which is higher than the
average annual cost of tuition at a Texas public college.
→ Under Abbott, 40 percent of workers in Texas lack paid sick time, and 75
percent lack paid family leave. In addition, Texas has been the least
insured state in the country every year that he’s been governor, with
nearly 1 in 5 Texans unable to see a doctor or fill their prescriptions.
As Governor, Beto will work to raise the minimum wage, expand access to
paid sick and family leave, support unions by making Texas a
right-to-organize state, strengthen worker compensation protections,
invest in affordable child care, and enact Texas’ first comprehensive
anti-discrimination law. We also know that Beto will partner with Texas
labor leaders to implement an aggressive energy jobs plan that creates
over 1 million high-paying union jobs.

office. Will you donate $3 right now to help Beto win in
   just over two months?

                        [ [link removed] ]Contribute $3

As we all celebrate Labor Day, let’s elect a governor who will fight for
the Texas economy and the workers who make it run.
   In solidarity,
   Team Beto
