Here is how I am fighting for Colorado’s workers. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Happy Labor Day, friends!

Today is a day to pay tribute to work, workers, and the Coloradans in the fight for fair wages and safe workplaces. I’ve stood with those folks my entire career, and I’m running to build an economy that works for everyone, not just the few at the top.

That’s why, today and every day, I’m focused on the solutions to Colorado workers’ biggest challenges:

  • Passing the “PRO” Act to improve workers' rights to organize and negotiate for better wages, benefits, and working conditions.
  • Raising the minimum wage and ensuring every Coloradan can graduate from high school able to get a good job and earn a living wage.
  • Bringing jobs back from overseas by investing in American manufacturing and our workforce — as we did through the CHIPS Act and Inflation Reduction Act.
  • Creating an economy that works for everyone by expanding access to skills training and registered apprenticeships, passing paid family and medical leave, and making sure the wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share.

I’m joining this fight with the many organized labor groups who have endorsed our campaign, including the Colorado AFL-CIO, SEIU Local 105, CWA CO/WY Council, NEA, and Colorado Professional Firefighters.

It is an honor to have their support — and yours.

Have a wonderful Labor Day, everyone, and I hope to see you on the campaign trail soon.

Best,

Michael Bennet
