Happy Labor Day, team!

I know a lot of folks are enjoying the long weekend with loved ones, so I’ll keep this quick.

Today, I want to take a moment to recognize and honor the American Labor Movement -- and all the workers keeping this country running. Without unions and the right of collective bargaining, we wouldn’t have a Labor Day Weekend (or any weekends for that matter).

Last month, I stood in solidarity with rail workers at the rally in Galesburg for fairer contracts.

Some of my proudest moments on this campaign so far have been when I’ve stood alongside local unions in Illinois fighting for better pay and jobs. In Congress, I'll be an unyielding champion for the right to collectively bargain, and I'll fight for policies like paid leave and affordable child care to support our workers.
