Many of us are taking this long weekend to recharge and spend time with our loved ones. A break brought to us by the hard work of the American Labor Movement.
So this weekend, it’s important to acknowledge and celebrate the workers that keep our country running. After a year worsened by rising costs and stagnant wages, Labor Day reminds us of the legacy of the American Labor Movement and the work we have yet to accomplish.
This Labor Day, let's renew our commitment to standing up for unions and working families in our district and across the country – especially by making sure they have paid leave and affordable childcare.
Have a restful long weekend and a happy Labor Day!
Warmly,
