John,

This Labor Day, I’m thankful for the pioneers of the labor movement who helped achieve lasting victories for workers against insurmountable odds.

I’m thankful for all of the workers and their families who make up the backbone of this country.

As we commemorate the achievements of the labor rights movement today, I’m recommitting to the fight to protect labor rights and good working conditions for all.

That looks like fighting for a livable wage, defending the right of unions to organize, enshrining paid family leave, taxing excessive CEO pay, and much more.

The labor movement is forever intertwined in our nation’s history, and I will continue doing everything in my power to protect our workers.
