Happy Labor Day, Jack!

Since I know this is your well deserved day off, I want to keep this email quick.

Today we pay tribute to all of the workers who have worked so hard to make our country what it is today, especially those who fought tirelessly for workers’ rights. To all of the teachers, nurses, construction workers, delivery drivers, food service workers, and many more who keep our country moving forward, we thank you.

This is a day we also celebrate our unions who ensure that every worker - regardless of what you make, what you look like, how you pray, who you love, or how you identify - has the rights, benefits, standards, and opportunity we deserve.

I truly believe that power belongs to the working people of New Mexico. Every one of us deserves a living wage, access to healthcare, good benefits, adequate working conditions, and easy access to the ballot box. My team and I stand united with New Mexican unions because they are not only the building blocks of our economy, but a platform to lift up all working people.

Thank you again for everything you do for our great state of New Mexico. Now, take this time to kick back and relax. You earned it.

Thank you,

Maggie
