Happy Labor Day!

As we celebrate Labor Day and a long weekend with friends and family, it’s important that we take a moment to pay tribute to the working Americans who are the backbone of our economy.

The union movement was founded on the principle of unity among working people. We must renew our commitment to fighting for livable wages, equal pay, safe and inclusive workplaces, and an economy that works for everyone.

Labor unions are crucial to ensuring that working families benefit from investment in our country, and keep America moving forward. I will be a strong ally in Congress to protect and advance workers’ rights, I will fight to make it easier for workers to join a union, and I will also advocate for more union apprenticeship routes for young people ready to learn a skill or trade.

I am grateful for the trust and support I’ve earned from labor unions in this race, and I remain eternally grateful to all the hard-working people whose sacrifices make our community great and our nation stronger.
