Happy Labor Day!
Today, Team LBR joins Americans across the nation in honoring the incredible union workforce that has helped build this country we are proud to call home.
Because of our unions, we have all benefited from vast improvements to our working conditions. From a 40-hour work week to health care access from employers to even the 8-hour work day, unions are at the heart of our achievements to protect and respect the workers who provide for us every day.
LBR is proud to come from grandparents who were strong union workers who strived every day to create a better environment for Americans today, and as a former Secretary of Labor in Delaware, she knows firsthand the important role unions have played in advancing workers’ rights.
But like many of our country’s greatest achievements, the labor movement we celebrate today is still a work in progress. Every day, our labor unions continue the good fight, bringing to light the injustices employees face in every job imaginable.
While we honor all we have accomplished to get to where we are today, let us be reminded of the struggle that is yet to come. Together, we can still push for higher minimum wages, stronger paid leave, and so much more.
Unions will always play an important role in the future of our country. Let us continue to support them in every way possible, today and every day.
We hope everyone enjoys their day safely and responsibly.
