Hi JOHN –

Happy Labor Day! I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the workers of Pinellas County.

Whether you're a teacher or a caretaker, a small business owner or a retiree, you have contributed immensely to our community, and we are all grateful for your hard work and commitment.

I wanted to give a special shout out to our union workers, who continuously fight for better working conditions that everyone in our community benefits from.

Recently, I've had the pleasure of meeting members from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Communications Workers of America Union (CWA), Flight Attendants Union, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET), and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA).

I know how important unions are, especially right now when people are struggling to take care of their families amid the pandemic and rising inflation.

That's why I've committed to supporting workers and working families in Congress, and to help set better standards for education, skills development, working conditions, and wages.

Whenever I tell people about my home in Pinellas County, I always think about my neighbors, the people I meet when I take my kids to a baseball game, and the families that come here to enjoy our beautiful beaches.

None of this could be possible without you, JOHN, and so I hope you and your loved ones can enjoy today and take some time to celebrate yourselves.
