Dear John, I hope you and your families are having a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
Today offers us an opportunity to reconnect and recharge as summer comes to a close, but it’s also an important reminder of what unions and working people have helped accomplish in our state and our country.
As Senate Democratic Leader, I was proud to earn the support of unions across Florida in my re-election campaign. I’m even prouder to lead Democrats in fighting for working families. |
We’ve achieved critical victories for working people over the past few years–a minimum wage increase, a year-long diaper tax exemption, Medicaid expansion for moms and babies, and more.
But with Ron DeSantis and his allies in the legislature ignoring our affordability crisis at every turn, we have so much more work to do.
Tomorrow through November 8th, I’ll be traveling around Florida to help us fight back by electing Democrats. Then, it’s off to Tallahassee to get back to work fighting for our values and delivering for working families across Broward.
