Happy Labor Day, team!

NewDems know that America’s workers are the backbone of our country and that good jobs are the pathway to opportunity –that’s why we’ve focused on legislation aimed at helping working families:

➔ We passed the American Rescue Plan to expand the Child Tax Credit, send direct payments to families, and expand unemployment benefits for those struggling to make ends meet during the COVID pandemic.

➔ We passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to deliver historic funding to fix roads, bridges, transit systems, and water infrastructure – putting Americans to work in good-paying jobs to carry out these new infrastructure projects.

➔ We passed the CHIPS and Science Act to invest $52 billion in domestic chip production – putting Americans to work manufacturing 21st century technology here at home.

➔ Most recently, we passed the Inflation Reduction Act, which will rein in the cost of goods, lower prescription drug prices, and invest in combating the climate crisis.

This Labor Day serves as a reminder that America is home to the best workers, skilled laborers, and tradespeople in the world, and NewDems will continue to have the backs of American workers not just in our rhetoric – but in our results.
