In the explosive Jan. 6th hearings, we see the GOP relentlessly defend the actions of the people who attempted a violent overthrow of the American government. From Kevin McCarthy in the days after the attack pledging to hold those responsible accountable, to him recently calling the Jan. 6th investigation “theatrics.”
From the reports that Donald Trump said the insurrectionists are “doing what they should be doing” and suggesting that Vice President Pence deserves to be hanged, to the revelation that current GOP members of Congress sought a pardon for their role in the attempted overthrow of our nation’s government.
The GOP is anti-democracy, and we have to defend our Majority before free and fair elections become an American relic.

Rep. Liz Cheney even went so far to call out the current state of the GOP, saying “to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible: there will come a day when Donald Trump is gone but your dishonor will remain.”
If the GOP is unwilling to fight for our democracy, it begs the question: Will the GOP fight for anything or anyone besides their donors and Donald Trump?
