Tomorrow is Labor Day, and we’re celebrating the workers, leaders and advocates like you who are fighting for a better future – a future in which every worker is paid a living wage and treated with dignity.
This special holiday was created back in the 19th century, when labor laws were so weak that children as young as 5 years old worked in dangerous, unsanitary factories. While we’ve come a long way since then, workers are still plagued by exploitative jobs and a trickle-down economy that only works for the super-rich.
Still, it’s important to recognize our recent wins. Despite exploitative corporations who try to crush worker-led movements, we’re seeing a massive boom in unionization efforts and the fight for a $15 minimum wage right now. We’ve got so much momentum on our side that we believe we’re on the cusp of a massive shift in how our economy works for working and middle-class Americans.
You’re a key part of that transition, John, so we know that you understand the basics about workers’ rights. That’s why we created a special Labor Day quiz to test your knowledge on labor history, unions and workers’ rights.

How much do you know about the labor movement? Take our quiz to find out – and learn more in honor of this weekend’s holiday.
