A reality we must face is that life is unfair.
But, in 2022, there are deeper consequences to what we can (or can’t) afford to buy—it now determines whether we live or die.
Covid-19 has targeted the poorest and most vulnerable among us to the greatest degree. More than one million Americans have lost their lives to the virus.
Why?
The healthcare we receive is only as good as what we can afford. Too many Americans die each year because life-saving medical treatment is too expensive.
Our Declaration of Independence states that we have the right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
...Income isn’t supposed to be a limiting factor.
