With each passing day, we find out more and more damaging information about the classified materials Donald Trump stole and hid in a closet at Mar-a-Lago. We're seeing a fury of MAGA Republican attacks on our government law enforcement agencies, especially the FBI. Gerry has been warning about the dangerous Republican attacks on our civil servants for years, whether it's them calling men and women at the FBI thugs, or Trump trying to replace huge parts of our non-partisan civil service with his partisan stooges.

Earlier this week the Washington Post ran an editorial piece [[link removed]] about the looming threat of replacing the civil servants President Trump classified as Schedule F, leaving them vulnerable to partisan firing and replacement.

They mention Gerry's leadership on this issue and his bill [[link removed]] , the Preventing a Patronage System Act, to make sure that no president can replace our civil servants without Congressional approval. With the increasing attacks by MAGA Republicans on civil servants --– many of whom are our neighbors and friends right here in Northern Virginia – we need to make sure they are protected from being replaced by partisan stooges.
