The Daily Kos community has been HERE. FOR. IT!!!! Your efforts make me want to tear up🥲. From Starbucks to Chipotle to Nabisco, the Daily Kos community took action this year to protect workers. In the last year, the Daily Kos community took almost a MILLION actions (writing letters, signing petitions, and so much more) against major corporations who would have otherwise allowed greed to trample employee rights.

And the pressure is working. Many of the brands we’ve advocated for this year have successfully formed their first-ever unions, negotiated a fair contract, revised their pay structure, and implemented COVID safety policies. All of this was in part due to our organizing.

But we can’t take credit alone. Brave workers were at the forefront of these fights, and they were guided by fearless labor organizations who advocated for them, reported on moments of injustice, and organized the public in support of their needs.
