Folks —

For so many of us, the news out of the Supreme Court earlier this year has been incredibly difficult. With the decision by the conservative justices to overturn Roe v. Wade, the health and safety of millions were put at risk.

Now, more than a dozen states across the country have restrictive abortion bans on the books — including here in Wisconsin. And just earlier this week, the South Carolina state legislature passed one of the most restrictive bans in the country, stripping reproductive rights from most people in the state. More states stand to pass these bans, jeoparding abortion access for millions of Americans.

Here in Wisconsin, abortion is on the ballot. Wisconsin Republicans like Tim Michels and right-wing state legislators have made it clear they won’t do a thing to restore access to reproductive health care for the people of Wisconsin.

We need elected officials who will protect the right to choose. If we can elect Mandela Barnes to the US Senate, we have a better shot of passing the Women's Health Protection Act, a bill I wrote to finally protect the right to safe and legal abortion by federal law. Every single Republican senator, including Mandela's opponent Ron Johnson, voted against this bill.

We need to take our anger, our frustration, and our sadness and turn it into action. Right now, I’m focused on protecting and expanding our Senate majority, since we cannot afford to let Mitch McConnell continue to roll back our fundamental rights with the gavel in his hand.

Will you pitch in $10 right now to support our work to protect and expand our Senate majority this November? Every dollar makes a difference when there’s so much on the line.
