John — I’m running for Governor to take on the big fights and continue building a future of opportunity and justice for every Oregonian.

I’ve got a track record of fighting for Oregon families — from passing paid sick leave, to expanding background checks on gun sales, to raising the minimum wage, to protecting access to reproductive health care.

But it’s not nearly enough. Oregon needs a leader who puts people first, who prioritizes justice and equity, who brings people together, and inspires all of us to reach for a better future. That’s why I’m asking for your personal endorsement.

In the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade , abortion rights will now be determined on a state-by-state basis. That means Oregon’s next governor will have to step up and lead to make sure abortion remains accessible in our state.

We need a real champion for reproductive rights now more than ever. Christine Drazan has frequently touted her long-standing support from anti-abortion extremist group Oregon Right to Life. And Betsy Johnson recently got excited about an anti-choice extremist running “Republicans for Betsy.” That’s why I am the only candidate in this race endorsed by Planned Parenthood PAC of Oregon and Pro-Choice Oregon.

And with gun violence taking a huge toll on communities across the country, I’m the only candidate with the courage to stand up to the NRA and fight for common-sense gun laws to keep our communities safer. I’ve been endorsed by Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, Giffords PAC, and I’m a Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate. My opponents have both earned an “A” rating from the NRA.

From reproductive rights to gun violence prevention to taking action on climate, the winner of the Governor’s race will have a lot of power over the future of Oregon. This is a consequential election for everyone, so it will be critical to have your support in this tough race.
