"Today is a dark day for Upstate New York, the North Country, New York State, and the United States Constitution as Kathy Hochul and Albany Democrats' unconstitutional legislation that is an assault on our fundamental Second Amendment rights goes into effect. This legislation is a direct attack on the law-abiding and patriotic citizens of the North Country and Adirondack Park and would classify tens of thousands of law-abiding gun owners in NY-21 as felons. I will do everything in my power to fight this bill and defend Upstate New York and the North Country's Second Amendment rights, just as I did when I signed the amicus brief against New York's unconstitutional concealed carry permitting process the Supreme Court struck down earlier this year. Not surprisingly, this legislation is

Last Sunday, Elise attended the Schoharie County GOP Annual ClamBake and Chicken BBQ alongside local Republican candidates and leaders, including Assemblyman Chris Tague, Chairman Bill Federice, Marc Molinaro, Ryan Mcallister, Treasurer Mary Ann Wollaber-Bryan, Michael Henry, and Paul Rodriguez. Elise received a warm welcome from the more than 300 fired-up voters in attendance.

This week, Elise called for a thorough and swift investigation into Twitter following the whistleblower complaint filed by former head of security Peiter Zatko alleging that the Silicon Valley company lies about the number of bots on its platform and that current employees may be working for foreign intelligence agencies. Elise would like her investigation to focus on how Twitter uses bots to suppress stories it doesn’t agree with. Elise said:
“Twitter was not only deliberately hiding the amount of bot accounts, but they also allegedly had foreign agents working for the platform.”
“The key here is exposing how the intelligence community worked with Twitter to push stories they want from bots — and suppressed others, namely the Hunter Biden laptop story.”

Elise Advances New Program to Address Rural Doctor Shortage
On Tuesday, Elise announced that following her advocacy, the Northern Border Regional Commission will be administering a new program in order to increase opportunities to recruit doctors to rural NY-21. This solution will help address the current rural doctor shortage and expand access to healthcare for Upstate New York and North Country families. Elise stated:
“I am proud to announce that, following my advocacy, we are taking a huge step forward in addressing the rural doctor shortage. Our rural communities face enough unique challenges, and giving our North Country families and seniors peace of mind that they can access the healthcare they need is incredibly important to me. Through the implementation of this program, more healthcare professionals will be able to work in medically underserved areas in New York’s 21st District, which is a critical result that will meet the needs of our communities.”

Elise Continues to Lead The Fight for Accountability Following the Schoharie Limo Crash Plea Deal Rejection
On Wednesday, Elise released a statement in response to the rejection of Nauman Hussain’s plea deal due to his involvement in the tragic Schoharie limousine crash that took the lives of 20 people in 2018. Elise stated:
“The rejection of this plea deal regarding the Schoharie limo crash is a step forward in accountability for the tragic loss of 20 lives that devastated an Upstate New York community. After years of waiting, these families deserve full accountability, and there is still significant work ahead to ensure justice. Not only must Hussain be held fully accountable and serve prison time for his involvement, but the FBI must also answer for their mishandling of their longtime informant, his associates, and their history of breaking the law. I have led the charge in Congress to bring attention to the FBI’s involvement, and I will not stop until every family impacted has the answers they deserve. Make no mistake, in a Republican Majority, the subpoenas are coming, so every family can
have full accountability and justice for this tragedy.”
