Tomorrow is Labor Day, a federal holiday established to honor the many contributions of workers and labor unions across the country.

While so many of us enjoy this day by barbecuing and spending time outdoors with friends and family, it’s more important than ever to honor workers by continuing the fight to ensure fair wages, paid sick leave, affordable healthcare, and a fair economy in which anyone who works hard can have a dignified quality of life.

Our labor leaders have raised the standards for workers over many generations. They organized, strategized, and demanded change. That fight continues today as we fight for a more just economy, which is something I am wholly committed to as NM-02’s next representative in Congress.
