A PERSONAL NOTE
 
Good morning, everyone! I hope you're enjoying our 30 Days of Preparedness SuperSale. It's been a lot of fun offering incredible deals so more folks can get their hands on our products and even spending some time creating some new products just for the sale.

Aside from work, I've been fortunate enough to host one of my daughters this long weekend, so this message will be shorter than usual. There's a lot to be said for living life instead of just writing about life. We've been making delicious meals, doing a little bit of canning, and going to the apartment complex pool every day that she's been here.

It's amazing to wake up one day and realize you are the parent to two incredible adults. I'm so proud of how my girls have turned out. They're both good people and kind ones. They help others but they set healthy boundaries. They are smart and talented and creative. Sometimes you just get swamped with love, don't you?

It's particularly important to feel gratitude for those around you when the world is in the state that it is right now. Sometimes we need to take a step back from the news and just "be" with the people who we love.

The energy crisis certainly has me concerned. Add that to the food shortage, inflation, and the high price of gasoline and we are indeed facing the perfect storm of economic cataclysm. This will boil over into civil unrest - it has to go somewhere, and that's when the real danger begins.
