John: Apartheid is a strong word. It’s saved for the worst offenders of segregation and racism, like South Africa in the 20th century. And, for people like Squad member Rashida Tlaib, Israel. Israel is the only country in the world with both Jews and Arabs in government, parliament, media, universities, hospitals, and even its Supreme Court. It doesn’t begin to make sense to call that “apartheid.” So why would she say that? Israel, like the United States, embraces Biblical Values, human rights, and respect for all people. Both countries seek to protect our borders and save people from terrorists, Tlaib wants to convince Joe Biden and the Democrat Party to support the Iranian-backed terrorist group, Hamas, which has fired thousands of missiles at Israel’s cities. Tlaib also embraced BLM and Antifa during the Summer of 2020, and spoke at their rallies, encouraging their supporters to burn down American cities. Iranian-backed terrorists seek to target U.S. citizens just like they attack Israeli citizens, and now they have an ally in the U.S. Congress. The dangerous rhetoric of Rep. Tlaib has become a real threat to the people of Israel, as she has become the de facto mouthpiece of the Ayatollah and his antisemitic policies in Congress. And that makes her a dangerous threat to the people of America, too. One of the key Biblical Values is the promise in Genesis 12:3 to bless those who bless Israel. I truly believe that America’s prosperity is due greatly to G-d’s blessing, and that’s one reason why the rhetoric from Tlaib is so destructive. The more Tlaib’s antisemitic rhetoric goes unchallenged, the more people will begin to echo her sentiments. Rhetoric like Tlaib’s only emboldens the terrorists!
Tlaib is only exposing her own racism and hatred at the expense of the one democracy in the Middle East. But she earns the praise of President Biden, and that’s what scares me. Her racist views have gained too much legitimacy already and will seep into the mainstream if we don’t act now. The same seeds of hate that Tlaib is planting are no different than what happened in 1930s Germany. We must stamp out these dangerous attacks on Israel and people who embrace Biblical Values before it rears its ugly head into the mainstream causing irreparable destruction to Jews and Christians alike.
