Friend,

Everyone, even extreme right-wing outlets, is saying that Doug Jones is having a great week in Washington.

Protecting survivor benefits for military families by eliminating the “Widow’s Tax” and establishing paid family leave for more than 50,000 families in Alabama alone, have passed the Senate with bipartisan support. The FUTURE Act was also recently passed, which will make it easier for students to apply for federal financial aid. Equally importantly, Doug and a bipartisan group of colleagues negotiated permanent funding for historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), protecting them for generations to come.

These are real-life victories for hundreds of thousands of American families. What’s encouraging is the real effort on both sides of the aisle to get things done that actually matter to Alabamians and Americans. This spirit of bipartisanship is exactly what Doug Jones promised to accomplish as our Senator, and why we need to make sure he keeps working for us in Washington.

It’s no secret: Doug Jones is Mitch McConnell’s top target next year – and the more Doug’s able to accomplish, the more the extremists are going to try to tear him down. But at this rate, Doug’s getting wins for everyone that can’t be ignored. Help us keep it up: chip in today and let’s build toward a win on November 3rd.

–Team Doug
