[1]Women's March
Hey John –
When I first started at Women’s March nearly five years ago, I knew my job
would not be easy – but I definitely did not know it’d be spending my
Saturday staring at a budget worrying about the line items for...
...Porta Potties.
Let me explain: We are expecting thousands of fierce feminists to show up
to march in Washington, D.C. on October 8th (exactly 5 weeks from today!)
– and thousands more to march in solidarity at sister events across the
country.
And while we’re protesting for our fundamental rights, we cannot forget
about our fundamental needs. So as the committed attendee list grows...the
bigger my budget needs to be for Porta Potties and other march
infrastructure (AKA the [ [link removed] ]Porta Potty Piggy Bank).
I know it’s not the most glamorous donation ask I’ll ever make, but it’s
really, REALLY important to the success of our event (and the comfort of
our marchers).
Today, just FIVE weeks away from our nationwide Weekend of Action, will
you contribute $5 (or whatever is right for you) to our Porta Potty Bigg
Bank?
