Folks — Already, we’re seeing the ramifications of the far-right Supreme Court majority’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and wipe out abortion rights for millions of Americans.
This horrific ruling has put millions of lives at risk and has left many women with little to no options for reproductive health care in their home state — including here in Wisconsin.
We can’t sit back and watch as our rights get taken away by Trump-appointed justices. We must keep making noise and pushing back against this wave of hatred and extremism.
Tammy has been hard at work in the Senate to protect abortion access. Her legislation, the Women’s Health Protection Act, would cement abortion rights into federal law – but it was blocked by Senate Republicans with the filibuster.
President Biden as well as the majority of Senate Democrats wanted to carve out the filibuster in order to pass this life-saving legislation, but some Senators stood in the way of getting it done this time around.
Now, we’re asking you to sign on today to join Tammy in calling on the Senate to eliminate the filibuster so that we can codify Roe into federal law and restore reproductive rights for millions of women.
Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have abused the filibuster to override what the majority of the American people want for far too long. We must speak up and fight back.
