John – it's Tom Carper. Before Joe became President, or even VP, I had the privilege to serve our state alongside him as Senators – and to count him as a mentor, a partner, and a friend.

You see, there's no one better to have in your corner than Joe. He's one of the best listeners I know (a skill that can be hard to find in Washington!). He cares so deeply and fiercely about his work and the communities he works for. He truly believes in the transformative power of good, bold leadership. And he'll do whatever it takes to make life better for the people he took an oath to serve.

I'm proud to have worked alongside him to make so much change; in just the past few months, he's made incredible progress for families. I'm incredibly proud to have partnered with him to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, which secured critical financial relief for families and made a HISTORIC investment in combating climate change. We've also passed the CHIPS and Science Act, which is bringing tens of thousands of American manufacturing jobs back home. 

The American people are rallying behind Joe, and with the midterms a little more than two months away, this momentum boost couldn't come at a better time. But McConnell is rallying powerful forces to destroy our Democratic majority, so I have to ensure that grassroots Democrats are standing behind Joe and our agenda.
