Hi friend,

Sandy Smith isn’t ashamed of her crazy election theories, the fact she participated in the January 6th insurrection, or even when she called for the “executions” of her political enemies.

So it should be no surprise that the most fringe of the MAGA cohort has endorsed her:

Let’s take a look at the most offensive of Sandy’s endorsements:

First up, Congressman Madison Cawthorn is one of Sandy’s youngest extremist endorsers. He is currently under investigation by Congress’s ethics committee for insider trading and multiple women have accused him of sexual misconduct.

Our second endorser of note is Roger Stone, a convicted felon who was charged and convicted for witness tampering and making false statements to the House Intelligence Committee. Donald Trump pardoned him for seven felony crimes.

Our final endorser of note is Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the vilest one yet. Trump pardoned Arpaio for his crimes related to his hard-line and racist tactics. Arizona citizens have had to pay over $100 million in legal fees associated with Arpaio, including a settlement involving webcams in a women’s prison.

Someone who surrounds themselves with criminals, abusers, and insurrectionists shouldn’t be allowed into the halls of Congress. We can’t let Sandy Smith and her team of right-wing extremists harm the integrity of our democracy.

Don will defend our democracy just like he served our country in the Air Force and state legislature. Eastern NC deserves a representative who will tackle our state’s challenges.
