John,

The cost of a college education has skyrocketed over the years, leaving tens of millions of students drowning in debt.

While President Joe Biden has recently canceled up to $20,000 in student loan debt per borrower, the cost of a college education is still rising at an unsustainable rate.

That means this one-time debt forgiveness program will do nothing for future students enrolling in college or for students who have already paid 2 to 3 times what they initially took out, but still owe tens of thousands more in debt.

We shouldn’t be punishing people for seeking higher education, especially when the ticket to good-paying jobs requires higher education degrees. Students are left with no choice but to take on debt to move ahead and it doesn't have to be this way.

This is a system that is forced on them and that’s why college should be available and accessible to everyone who wants to attend it -- no matter their race, gender, zip code, or income.

Demand Congress make the most substantial federal investment in higher education in modern American history by eliminating tuition and fees at public colleges and universities and refinancing old debt with 0% interest rates so that no person continues to pay more than what they initially took out.
