As children across the country head back to school, our public education system is under incredible strain.

Due to the pandemic, we’re seeing the steepest drop in school enrollment since 1943.

Schools across the country are contending with a “catastrophic teacher shortage,” according to the Washington Post.

And, over the past several years, funding cuts to public education have resulted in programs receiving $7 billion less than they did a decade ago.
