*What do youth need to do to ride for free?*

Easy,?use the classic blue youth ORCA cards, show student identification, or simply board and ride free.

If you already have classic blue youth ORCA card you can simply use the?new tool on FreeYouthTransitPass.com [ [link removed] ]?that will help you register your youth ORCA card with your birth date to ensure riding stays free until age 19.?Register your card before June 30, 2023, so there is no disruption with your card.

*How can you get a Free Youth Transit Pass card?*

All youth can ride free starting today. No transit card is required but they are highly encouraged.

Many high school and middle school students may have already received their youth ORCA from their school. If your school is not participating, you can order a youth ORCA card for free directly from?myORCA.com [ [link removed] ]?(current wait times are a few weeks to receive a card due to demand and staffing levels). You can also visit us at an?ORCA Customer Service? [ [link removed] ]office during business hours to get a youth card today.

ORCA LIFT fare reduced to $1

Starting?*Thursday, Sept. 1,*?if you?re a rider who uses ORCA LIFT to pay for your trips on King County Metro, your fare has been reduced to $1!

Metro, Everett Transit, Kitsap Transit and Sound Transit all now offer $1?ORCA LIFT fares [ [link removed] ]?for riders who qualify based on their income.

Because mobility is a human right, Metro believes the ability to pay should never be a barrier to transit. ORCA LIFT allows those who have lower incomes to ride for a reduced fare.
