I still remember those 100-degree days, folks.

I worked construction to put myself through college, digging foundations from sunrise to sunset. I know what it’s like to put in a hard day’s work and still not be able to make ends meet.

Unfortunately, that’s still the reality for too many hardworking Coloradans. Wages and benefits aren’t keeping up with the cost of living. And during the pandemic, these disparities have grown even wider.

It’s not enough to go back to the way things were before. We need to build an economy for the working class — one with better, high-paying jobs that allow everyone the chance to achieve their American Dream.
