In 2020, I became the first Democrat to win re-election in Michigan’s 11th Congressional District in nearly 100 years, and as you may know, I recently once again became the Democratic nominee for MI-11! I look forward to keeping my district blue for the third term in a row.

But team, we still have so much work to do. The GOP is hellbent on partisan attacks and cultural wars, and handing the House over to the extremist, anti-democracy GOP will stop all the progress we’ve made.

Folks, last month, President Biden signed into law a bill that expands health care access to veterans who experienced burn pit exposures – and I’m proud that every single Future Forum member stood with me by voting to pass that bill in the House.

And last month, President Biden also signed into law the Inflation Reduction Act, just days after my Democratic colleagues and I passed the bill in the House. It is by far the biggest investment ever made in tackling the climate crisis head on, and it expands healthcare access for so many Americans.

But despite all of our progress, national Republicans are pouring massive amounts of money into districts across the nation, including mine.
